放射科成立于50年代，经过60余年发展，如今，设备先进，技术精湛，综合实力雄厚。现拥有各级医、技、护人员23名，平均年龄33岁，本科及以上学历占100％，人才梯队结构合理，综合技术实力雄厚。近年来，放射科在医疗、教学、科研等方面取得了令人瞩目的成绩。每年开展新业务、新技术多项，在国家级及省级核心期刊杂志上发表论文多篇。现为湖北省放射学会委员单位、省放射学会技术学会委员单位。

　　　放射科现拥有GE INNOVA 3100血管造影机、GE Precision Rxi数字胃肠机，西门子AxioM Multix MT型全数字化 DR、西门子Mammomat Navation3000乳腺机、柯达850型CR、柯达DV 8900型激光相机及多台大型X线机等高新设备，并实现科内局域网，诊断报告已经全面实现计算机化。

　　　放射科现能开展全身各部位、各体位的常规摄影与体层；能开展肝、肺、肾等多种恶性肿瘤的介入治疗及支气管动脉、肠系膜动脉、子宫动脉等出血的止血治疗；能开展胃肠道钡餐、结肠钡灌、肾分泌性造影、肾逆行造影、子宫输卵管造影、下肢静脉造影、“T”管造影等多种造影检查。每年接待患者约8万余人次。
